Concrete shortlisted for two national Homeless Link Awards! 🎉

Lee Newcomb And Phillip Bowman (9)

At Concrete, everything we do is driven by one mission: To make homelessness history – because housing is a right, not a privilege.

Now, that mission is being recognised nationally. We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for two awards at the Homeless Link Excellence Awards 2025 – a celebration of organisations making a real difference in the fight against homelessness.

🏆 Finalist: Excellent Support Award – SPHERE
Our SPHERE service is being recognised for its bold, compassionate approach to one of the biggest challenges in homelessness support – substance use. The team’s work, particularly around monkey dust in Stoke-on-Trent, is changing lives and breaking down the barriers that stand between people and a safe, secure home.

This shortlisting is a testament to the team’s deep understanding of the people they support – and their unwavering belief that recovery and stability should always be within reach.

🏆 Finalist: Demonstrating Impact Award – Service Quality Reviews
Concrete is also a finalist for how we measure and improve our services – by listening to the people who use them. Our service quality reviews ensure your voice shapes what we do, every single day.

We’re constantly learning from your feedback, using it to drive change and deliver better outcomes. This nomination is proof that your experiences matter, and that when we listen, we grow stronger – together.

Huge thanks to everyone who’s shared their voice with us.

Why it matters
These nominations aren’t just about trophies – they’re about trust, transformation, and putting people first. They show that we’re on the right path – creating services that are not only compassionate and effective, but shaped by you.

We’ll share more once the winners are announced, but for now, we just want to say:

Thank you. For trusting us. For working with us. And for being part of a movement that’s proving every day: homelessness can end – and housing is a right, not a privilege.
